Farming is a business. Homesteading is a life.
A farmer grows to sell. A homesteader grows to eat, and sells the extra if there’s extra. The scale is different, the paperwork is different, and the stress is different.
I’m not trying to feed a county. I’m trying to feed my family and stop handing every dollar to a grocery store. If the garden produces enough extra to sell at a roadside stand, great, that’s gravy, not the plan.
There’s no shame in either one. Just know which game you’re playing before you buy the equipment.
